Rejuvenate Designs was created as a viable income outlet for local peole who are Brain Injury survivors who are not able to maintain traditional employment. With RD, these people can work from their own homes at their own pace, rest as needed, stop when needed without the pressures of deadlines, quotas, multi-tasking, or dealing with distractions such as fighting off fatigue and/or pain, overwhelming background noise, constant interruptions, worrying about whether or not they can safely get themselves to and from work, or having too many "sick days; all the while creating high-quality and desirable items. On days they feel well and focused, they can create to their heart's content. On days that aren't so good, they don't have to worry about "getting things done". The purpose of providing this sort of self-governed "job" environment is to provide a) a creative outlet, b) allowing them to feel useful and valuable again, c) boosting their sense of self worth and value, d) and allowing them a way to contribute to the household budget "like a normal person". Suffering from a disease or disorder that has No outwards signs of existence, accompanied by little to no public knowledge or understanding is the single most dehumanizing existence they have ever had to face and live with. Rejuvenate Designs allows them to rediscover their "personhood" in a non-judgemental environment working with others who know, understand and share their experiences.
